Ha! I knew there would be a new CD up. I was snowed in without electricity since Friday. When I could finally get online I felt there would be something here. It never fails. I check this place several times a day and nothing new until I am not on for a few days. I can\'t wait to get it! ;D
Maybe I\'m thinking too hard but the last DCK album was \'Torn from Black Space\' and now we have \'Shadows Between the Sky\'. I see some similarity in the titles. I wonder if this is coincidence or maybe I should be watching the Super Bowl instead of drinking beer and posting here?

This is so cool... I was just saying to one of my students "Buckethead, please have a new cd for sale on my birthday," as I was opening the forum. I saw shadows between the sky. Then I started acting crazy and my students are all looking at me like I\'m some weirdo, which made me act stranger than I was already.
Thank you Buckethead for the birthday gift even though I have to pay for it. hehe
...and yes with a title like that I\'m thinking more on the lines of Diamond or Tears.
I ReaLLY LOVE this CD. I am listening to it now. Very Electric Tears and Colma-like. With some jazzier textures and arranglements. A bit more upbeat so far, too. Lots of nylon string guitar, sounds like. I think The Bucketheaded One has really stepped it up this time around, and I have a pretty expectations by now!

It is a mellower ride overall, but there are some new twists. I have enjoyed it immensely and I expect it will get a lot of play along with Travis\' Iconography. Those releases are very complimentary.

Ordered it during the wee hours of the morning on Saturday the 6th, got it mid-afternoon on Monday the 8th! Not bad considering there was a Sunday in between ... I\'m only about 40 miles from TDRS, but I think, in general because it\'s such a large metropolitan area, the L.A. area has a lot of hubs for many shipping business so things move in and out of here pretty fast.
That said, TDRS turnaround is still amazing. My last order was the one that floored me. Placed an order about 4:30am on December 23rd and got it about 7p on the 24th - that\'s less than 15 hours!!!
Personally, I think Travis must be dabbling in magic or making regular sacrifices to the shipping gods 8)
So this morning I loaded the CD onto my computer to add to my playlists (y-e-e-s-s, I\'m still listening to it ...) and, it just so happened that, after the last song (Walk On the Moon) on the CD, Homing Beacon comes up next in my library. It took about minute into the song before I realized the CD had ended, they flowed together so seamlessly. Serendipity!

This absolutely has an MJ type urban pop/gospel-ish feel to it, although a little downtempo. I can easily imagine MJ\'s voice soaring over it, maybe modulating a step up and knocking everyone out.

Agree with Bruce, this one is like Electric Tears taken to the next level. Just incredible. I listened to it for 8 hours straight on Tuesday night. Very mellow, very relaxing. I think "joyous" would be a good descriptor!

anyways, I\'m listening to shadows right now while studying for my chemistry exam and I must say, this was just the right sound that I needed at this time; unoffensive to the mind and as smooth as a baby\'s bottom.

What\'s the deal with the jewel cases? Mine are always trashed, the little pegs are all snapped off and the "legs" are almost always cracked, if not completely cracked off. NO biggie, I\'ve got a load of "empties" so I just swap out the broken pieces. I just always wonder if they take a shit-kicking in the mail or are they shrunk-wrapped like that, "pre-busted".
Don\'t get me wrong, I really don\'t give a shit, just curious is all.

like many, many products, those cases are designed for the dump - i prefer the paper/cardboard - like the ICONOGRAPHY case
The Iconography case is definitely better designed than the standard jewel cases. I\'ve had several of them, including this one, come to me with some broken part on them, but mostly the little pegs. It\'s no biggie, just plain annoying. Whatever happened to things being made to last?
Mine had all but two of its teef broken :\'( but the disc was fine :)
Shipping was crazy-fast too.

I got mine yesterday, and am loving it. I think it is similar to Eletric Tears. Eletric Tears was the album that made me lissen to Buckethead. Now, this is no copy of Eletric Tears, but brand new soulfull music, and I love it Smiley
It didn\'t take long to get here. I think just 8 days, and thats amazing. Great wok on the shipping. One down side is that the cover was cracked, and the cd cant be in the cover. I guess it was just luck that the cd didn\'t get damage.
