Sure many members here have already clocked this item that is currently listed on Ebay, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230489032028&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT. Just wondering if anyone here can verify whether this is authentic or not (by already owning a copy)?
Cheers,
Steve
I am late and the auction has ended so sorry about that, but...I have a couple or so cassettes from the early 90s and none of them had any color printing on them. The early Buckethead blueprints and the grabbags were all b/w copies with handwritten cassettes. At least the ones I have. Maybe printed on golden rod colored paper.
I think that the b/w cassettes were either released by Shrimper or had that influence. I am not doubting the authenticity of this piece, though. It looks mighty fine. Probably one of a short run if it is the real deal.
Thanks for the info/insight stumpdangler, appreciated ;). However, Pete Scaturro, credited as producer of the demo tape, confirmed that the tape was indeed real a few hours before the close of the auction. Perhaps this contributed to the high price it ultimately went for? Anyhow, I couldn\'t match that kind of price tag atm so did not win this- anybody here claim it?

Wow! That\'s a lot of jack for a cassette tape...and longtime Buckethead collaborator Pete Scaturro is most definitely as close as you can get to the authority on authenticity.
It went a long way from being in the bottom of a box to a primo price on ebay. Congrats to the buyer for having a true relic and to the seller for having the vision to make it available to those fans that have the urge and means to collect such. Hat\'s off.

X2. Just hope whomever won it shares it (via uploading mp3s)!!... if it\'s legal that is.
Hey guys. Googuse, the seller of the tape, posted a thread about this awhile ago at Buckethead-Coop. Me and the other bingers from there managed to get him to rip the audio from the tape and is now available for download on the site.

Do they have Buckethead\'s permision for uploading this?
^ its the same thing as NTT so why not :P ;D
i dont think you need permission to download something like this. just because it is impossible to buy it from buckethead any more, so even if you buy it, none of the money is going in bh\'s direction.
