Ive always wondered what people\'s favorite buckethead albums and songs were. It would be cool if you guys could share these with me.
For example,the Draco solo from TDoE is wonders if you just sit there and listen to it.
And it doesnt just have to be buckethead either. It can be his side projects, travis, or any tdrs artist.
Buckethead - Electric Tears is my favourite CD by anyone, not just Buckethead.
My favourite track is Witches on the Heath, from Electric Tears. Again, favourite by anyone.
I like to listen to people I catch and put into my car trunk at night...they make strange nosies back there.

I can\'t possibly give my favorite Buckethead album, but I can mention several favorites. For a crazy experience/ride my favorite is Inbred Mountain. I love the entirety of that album and how it all hangs together so well now that I know it. For assaulting my ears, my favorite is Island of Lost Minds. For relaxing and reducing anxiety, my favorite is the first Chicken Noodles. I can\'t be worried when I am listening to that. I just float away. For any random time, it is probably Population Override. For wanting to just hear some rocking and heavy songs...probably Cuckoo Clocks or maybe Kaleidoscalp. For just wanting to rock...well, that one changes constantly. Basically most of his stuff. Right now probably Decoding.

It\'s hard for me to pick out a favorite Buckethead album based on two facts:
1) They\'re all so good
2) I haven\'t heard everything, so I can\'t make a definite choice
Instead, I will substitute my favorite Buckethead album sound/style. My overall favorite sound/style is well represented by the following albums:
- Decoding the Tomb of Bansheebot
- Pepper\'s Ghost
- Slaughterhouse On the Prairie
- Albino Slug
My next favorite (i.e. 2nd place) sound/style of Buckethead\'s albums is his heavier stuff:
- Crime Slunk Scene
- The Elephant Man\'s Alarm Clock
- Inbred Mountain
- The Cuckoo Clocks of Hell
My least favorite (i.e. 3rd/last place) is his softer stuff. I honestly still like his softer stuff, so even though it is in last place, I still recommend it to Buckethead greenhorns. The softer stuff I like is:
- A Real Diamond In the Rough
- Shadows Between the Sky
- Electric Tears
- Colma
I also like all the side projects with Travis on keyboards, but I don\'t own any of it yet.
EDIT: So it goes something like this:
1st place - Hard rock sound/style
2nd place - Heavy metal sound/style
3rd place - Soft rock sound/style
EDIT 2: (...hours later...) I\'m listening to Padmasana. It makes me want to say that Buckethead\'s soft rock should be tied with heavy on my list. :) The guitar solo is very meaningful (to me at least)!
Whenever Buck jams with Claypool or Bootsy, live is always so much better though, they need to put that stuff on an album.
Monsters and Robots is good and so is the first Praxis album and c2b3 !need more c2b3! and better stuff like the live jams

I also love the Deli Creeps live, the album was just ok they need a comeback album more like the demos
i agree c2b3 was amazing and its a shame i didnt know about them at the time of their touring. personally i love that thanatopsis kind of stuff
i dont have a favorite song either i just stick with my mood or whatever lands from the shuffle on my ipod
buuttt i lean towards the more experimental stuff like dragons, pop override, axiology, thanaopsis
i also love travis first album its great i wish i couldve had it signed though, never knew travis was up for open autographs

Are you guys aware that you can buy a ton of the live C2B3 shows on Les\' site? They used to have a buy 3 get a 4th free thing. I assume they still do but haven\'t checked it out in awhile.

Some of his best work is on there, and he\'s the star of the album. Do yourself a favor and check it out!

This. The only reason I even care about new GNR is Bucket, even though it was GNR that introduced me to Bucket in the first place

"There was a time" - the most epic solo on a gnr tune, EVER. The chemistry between Bucket and Axl really stands out.
"Sorry" - written by Brain, Bucket and Axl. A very sweet bluesy solo by Bucket. Plenty of rhythm guitar by Bucket.
"Shackler\'s Revenge" - written by Brain, Bucket and Axl (no Bucket solo on here, but Ron\'s effort is good and suits the song). Again, plenty of rhythm guitar by Bucket.
"If the World" - a lot of nylon string action on here, and another great solo by Bucket.
"Madagascar" - the only guitarist on this track is Bucket, and he carries the song, fully.
He\'s on most of the tracks, and his work is excellent throughout, but those are the standouts for me.
Another point - the production and mastering on this album is stellar. Remember this is the most expensive album ever made, and it sounds like it.
The good thing is you can easily find this album at your local record store ;)
