Title: Best Hi-Def Buckethead Live Footage?
Post by: eggman90 on October 26, 2009, 05:36:45 AM
This person Jeremy Sewell/Staunchy has taped a handful of live Bucket shows with a team of three cameras, truly amazing footage:

http://www.vimeo.com/4142433

Apparently he wants to release this officially with Buckethead\'s approval. If anyone here has the ability to contact him or his people let him know that his fans would pay for this. I think it would be great to have something like this in hi-def (or dream of Blu-Ray!) on a widescreen at home. Tons and tons of good and borderline great bootlegs out there, but there always seems to be some issue with most of them: not in hi-def, great sound/bad vid, great vid/bad sound, single camera for the whole show, missing segments, bad cuts, glitches, etc., etc. You Tube just gets tedious after a while. I just want to pop a killer Bucket DVD into the player and have my friends over. No offense to those that have taped shows and shared them-your work and generosity are much appreciated. I don\'t want to be pointed to more Buckethead bootleg vids on the internet, we all know where to find those. Thanks for humoring me.

^^Thanks for checking in Bruce. You have been very generous with you taped Bucket shows over the years, I have a few-they are excellent.

What do you think of Staunchy and crew\'s multi-camera work here? I have been out of the bootleg Bucket scene for a while, the last work I have of yours is the Social Club in Vegas. What work are you most proud of-anything out there on HD gear?

Anyone else think it\'s worthy of an official release?

No "official release" outside of whatever shows up on Secret Recipe. It\'s all just fan bootlegs.

Staunchy!

I have been on a one-man crusade to get to the bottom of why there is no official Buckethead hi-def release. I understand it has something to do with lawyers-what\'s the latest?

i am out of the loop but i have no idea why it has to do with lawyers?

I\'m sure BigB will release something when the time is right.  I hope!!

the fALL BALL with Bootsy(aka bootsy\'s birthday party) is pretty epic!  Have you seen the freekbass dvd from that night?  I think you can buy it on his website,  It has the encore with bootsy and bucket on it.     I have tons of unedited multiangle Buckethead just waiting for an official release.

This is what is needed right now! Some hi-def footage, with I\'m guessing sound right out of the board-well done! Blu-ray would be insane too! So what has to happen to get this material out Staunchy?

Who did you try to contact with your footage-did you ever try to contact Travis right here at TDRS? Perfect place to sell those, I\'d be first in line.

^I\'d be right behind you Egg. Staunchy, your vids are totally awesome. Thank you!! For a lot of us who can\'t get to shows your footage is the next best thing. There was a rumor you want to release a multi disc HD set of your best footage. If true I am totally down with that. Keep up the good work my bot and thanks again for sharing.
